Hello you lot! I’m back with, yes you guessed it, the second instalment of the ‘Meet the Blogger’ feature!
This time I’d like to introduce you to wonderful blogger that is Amber Dryden! Amber runs the fashion & beauty blog ‘Freckles and Fashion‘.

I contacted Amber back in early December to see whether she would be interested in taking part in Meet the Blogger. I was thrilled when her reply came through saying that she’d be happy to take part!
So without further ado, allow me to show you the interview!
Well, Freckles and Fashion originally started out as Dressing Room Diaries, but after forgetting to renew my domain name, I lost Dressing Room Diaries and decided to change my blog name altogether. But, I first decided to start a blog because my friends were going to punch me in the throat if I kept constantly talking about makeup and shopping.
My favorite part of blogging has been when somebody leaves a comment on a post saying that it inspired them in some way. For example, maybe they weren’t sure how to wear a certain piece, or maybe they were intimidated by red lipstick, but I inspired them to try it.
Recently, my link was picked for IFB’s Links a la Mode twice in a row. Aside from that, there have been a few instances where girls I have never met stop me in public and say, “oh my god, I love your blog!”
From a fashion standpoint, I’m super inspired by Jenna Lyons, Creative Director for J Crew. Her eccentric, borrowed from the boys style always keeps me on my toes. She pairs things together that I would never even think of and she always inspires me to think outside the box!
I have always wanted to be a visual merchandiser or a buyer for one if my favorite retailers, but over the last year, I have really been interested in blogging full time. I know the chances of that working out are pretty slim, but when I see bloggers who are successful, it really makes me want to strive for that.
I would love to go to England or France!

Piece of clothing?
-
Shoes?
-
Accessory?
My favorite item of clothing is probably my Topshop tube skirt with an old drive in print on it. My favorite shoes would have to be my periwinkle Kelsi Dagger heels. My favorite accessory is definitely my Rose Gold Michael Kors watch, which is probably the most adult accessory I have ever purchased.
To anyone thinking of starting their own blog, I would say just do it! So many people say, “oh I always read blogs and I have been thinking of starting my own,” but they never do it. Once you do start a blog, learn the technical stuff. Learn everything you can about SEO, because no matter how great your outfit post is, it won’t matter if nobody sees it.
Thanks again, Jack! Can’t wait to see the post!
