One Term Down

Hey everybody! Well, those of you reading this…

I’m back with a post about my first term at college! I finished for Christmas holidays on the 12th December & if you have read my previous post about college (College: The First Month) you will know that I am LOVING my course! Now that I have completed more sections of the course I have found that I love the course even more!

During this first term I have made loads of great new friends, learnt lots of new skills such as visual merchandising & adobe illustrator. I have learnt about illustration art, art history & producing window displays. I have to admit that out of all the skills I have learnt so far, illustrator has been my favourite! As my drawing skills aren’t that strong I was over the moon to find that I create templates better by computer than hand hahaha!

Below you can find some of my digital designs:

Now I’m not saying that they’re absolutely amazing, but if you saw my hand drawings you would definitely say that there is an improvement!
Since starting college I have attended my first Clothes Show Live! It was such an amazing experience! While making your way round the maze of stalls, you take in the buzz from the other members of the public attending. You brush shoulders with other shoppers as you make your way to the different brands. The Diet Coke Image Runway showcased the different collections produced by different universities & colleges. The theatre is home to the incredible show hosted by British stylist turned fashion designer, Henry Holland & presenter, editor, stylist, model, DJ & drummer, Becca Dudley!
The dance-fashion extravaganza grabbed the attention of all who laid eyes on it! Below you can see highlights of this year’s show!

Going back to college in January is looking to be fun as I’ll be learning printing, drawing, marketing & more fashion in retail!

So there you have it! Another update on what’s going on in my journey into the fashion industry! If you would like to stay up to date with my time at college via photos, you can check out my Instagram (entirely up to you)! I’d also love to hear what you think of my designs (again, up to you)! But for now, buh bye! 🙂
