So… It’s been a hot minute, right?
To be completely honest, I am almost nervous, sitting here, writing this post. I’m nervous because before my last post here on Oh So Jack, I hadn’t posted since June. The short answer for why the blog has been pretty vacant this year is due to my postgraduate studies. Where I had chosen to develop Oh So Jack for my final project, I have basically had to embargo the site and withhold all content – which isn’t ideal considering there has been brand work that I’ve been wanting to share for aaaaages. I will touch on this at a later date in another post. For now though, I am back and am excited to get back in the swing of blogging.
I wanted to kick things off with a fashion post and with this, take a moment to thank the lovely team at GANT for gifting me this beautiful shirt and pair of boots!! This year, GANT celebrated its 70th birthday and kindly reached out to me in order to spread the word. Recognised for bringing the button-down shirt to the mass market, the brand has also been famed for their award winning ‘button-tab’ and the ‘locker loop’ found on the back of their shirts.
I chose the Chelsea boots as they look great with so many different looks and really add an elevated touch to any outfit. They are comfortable, stylish and so versatile. I chose the linen shirt as I am such a big fan of linen. Linen suits people of any age, evokes a Spring/Summer feeling and just generally looks great. Yes, I’m aware it is the most frustrating when it comes to creasing, but I just can’t help but love it. I wanted to wear this shirt unbuttoned and worn over a t-shirt to create a light, breezy layer. Of course I then added denim, sunglasses and bracelets, because no fashion post here on Oh So Jack goes without one or two of these elements. The look felt very country and with the hype surrounding Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ at the time, it only felt right to give a nod to it.
I will keep this one short and sweet as I could ramble on and on and on… It’s great to be back and here’s to the rest of 2019!
